Valerie A. Szarek is a master craftswoman with over 35 years experience. She began her leather craft business in 1972. Val practices Native American traditions honoring the earth and all her children. She works closely with each animal's spirit to bring forth these beautiful and long lasting creations. She loves to combine the natural beauty of the leather grain with a stunning earth stone. Valerie has achieved Master Leather Worker status after 35 years of dedicated, conscientious and caring study.
All leather products are designed and created by Valerie in her Louisville, Colorado studio, along with the help of a few artisans and apprentices. Valerie hand selects the right stone for each bag to complement the color of the leather and the style of the bag. "Our stones are hand inlaid into the leather in free form cabochons, making each handbag unique. Our care of construction results high quality handbag endure through time and trends. We value clean, simple lines that complement the subtle beauty and the organic, natural properties of the skins."
Trained in the art of couture, Valerie designs and makes all of her own patterns, specializing in selecting the best leather for each product. Her designs are worn by women of style and spirit in America and abroad.
