"Originally from Romsey England, I now live and work in Bucks County Pennsylvania. I find inspiration in my heritage to fashion the distinctive patterns and shapes that characterize my work. I also find inspiration in nature, creating an assortment of floral designs. My pieces are carefully crafted from silver, bronze, copper, gold or a combination of metals that may be set with stones or pearls to add a whimsical elegance. I often forge my work through complex processes that transmute the metal surfaces to produce unique finishes."
"I love to do subtle rounded edges for the dogwoods and roses giving a natural flow and softness to my work. I use 14k gold post for strength and I also like the contrast. I oxidize the silver, thereby showing the form and character of the piece. I hand sign or use my signature "Sherry Tinsman" charm on each piece. Most bracelets and necklaces are adjustable."
Sherry's jewelry has a natural organic look and feel. Her signatures, the dogwood flower and the rose are found on most of her pieces, even if as a finishing detail. All of her unique sterling silver and 14k gold pieces are designed and handcrafted one at a time by Sherry using a lost wax casting technique with all the models handmade by the artist.
