"I majored in Art Education and taught high school art in Michigan. Moving ever forward, I attended graduate school at Cranbrook Academy of Arts followed by setting up the textile design department at the State University of New York in Oswego. Two years of enduring the upstate New York fury of snow and winds off Lake Ontario, I ached for sunshine and serenity and moved to northern California.

Now, ten years later, still enjoying the weather and freedom of creativity of California, I use my artistry to create little masterpieces of jewelry. It is my way of sharing with others, my small contribution the universe. Besides being ornamentally satisfying, each piece has its own life, it own meaning. Title reflects purpose; each purpose being to help and support the wearer in a positive way. When I've had the pleasure of discussing a particular piece with my customers, a common response is "I really need that." It pleases me to provide this need through an object of beauty and intention that I have made by hand.

The focus of each piece of my jewelry is reinforced by stones, charms and beads which are specifically selected for it. The actual selection is a magnificent treasure hunt with pilgrimages to suppliers in New York, who have limited quantities of  "new" sixty year old stock protected under layers of dust. Combined with my love of travel to Europe, South America and the Far East, my search for stones and beads are also found in the hidden treasure boxes of choice attics and basements.

I think of each piece of my jewelry as a wish and I invite my customers to select their wish, wear it, believe in it, and finally see it come true."
