Unique bracelets, necklaces and earrings.
"I was born and raised in England
and moved to California when I was 21 years old where I started my jewelry
career. My husband and I moved to Spain where I continued my jewelry making and
started to show my work in many European trade shows. My work is represented in
stores across Europe including London, San Tropez, Monte Carlo and Barcelona to
name a few. After living near Barcelona for 5 years we returned to America and
moved to Santa Fe New Mexico where I was attracted to and inspired by its large
art community.
I make all the jewelry myself. My signature work is my
silver-coated porcelain pendants, charms and clasps. I make each piece from
clay and then fire them in a kiln until they become porcelain, I then coat each
piece with 5 separate coats of fine silver and then fire them again, after
which they are antiqued and polished. Most of the chain I use for my pieces is
Chanel type vintage chain from the 1950's which I am able to obtain from a
private source in New York."
Karen's signature silver-coated
porcelain pendants, clasps and charms are mixed with semi-precious stones often
combined with vintage chain to create her unique necklaces, bracelets and
earrings. Her eclectic designs have a loyal following which includes many
celebrities.
