Artist Karen Lewis, originally from the UK now resides in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She creates her signature work by silver-coating handmade porcelain charms and clasps. Each charm is sculpted from clay then kiln fired until it becomes porcelain. When cooled, the porcelain charms are given five coats of fine silver then fired again, after which they are antiqued and polished. Another signature of Karen's designs is her use of vintage Chanel chain from the 1950's. The "Moon" face charm is made in her signature silver coated porcelain which hangs with a silver "Believe" embossed tag and a white marbled stone ball held in an embossed silver case.
