Karen Lewis, originally from the UK now resides and works Santa Fe, New Mexico's community of artists. Karen creates her signature work by silver-coating her handmade porcelain charms and clasps.  The unique Heart  Stone necklace has a heart charm and heart toggle clasp sculpted from clay then kiln fired until they becomes porcelain. When cooled, the porcelain charms are given five coats of fine silver then fired again. They are antiqued and polished to create the contrasting tones. The necklace is artfully handmade with faceted and organic semi-precious stones: Laboradite, Amethyst, Ocean Quartz and Cherry Quartz with natural Turquoise. 18" length
