Artist Bio

Northern California artist, Evan Chambers, designs and handmakes art nouveau glass with a leaf feather surface decoration. The trumpet vase has exquisite iridescent colors of teal, gold and amber . His rich colors are achieved by by using minerals such as cobalt oxide and metals such as silver and tin. The design technique is known as feathering which takes place before the glass is blown while the surface is molten hot. Each vase is a one-of-a-kind object of decorative art. No two are exactly alike. 8"H x 4"W at the opening.
